I self-published this book in 2005 and only printed 1,000 copies. It is available on the Internet as used copies. To order one, do a search on the title (including my name); most are under $10.00.
One friend commented that it's like reading 20 books in one because it covers so many topics (see Table of Contents below). It's a great introduction to Israel for someone planning to tour Israel. Or, if you never go, it's a cheap tour just walking through the pages of the book!
Jerusalem, the city of God. Only one city in all the world has that enviable title. We are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and yet so few know much about her. If God loves Jerusalem, shouldn't we?
What is it like to live there?
How does one live in the midst of so much terror?
What effects does terrorism have on the people?
What kind of work do Christian ministries do in Israel?
Why should Christians be involved in ministry to Israel?
What are Jewish people like, and what can we learn from them?
You will learn about the Jewish people, their customs, and the land of Israel through the eyes of the author's experiences of living in Jerusalem as a Christian volunteer. She explores why Christians have lost so much of their Jewish heritage, and how God is reconnecting the Church to its Jewish roots. Living in God's city forever changed the author's life. Reading this book can change yours.
